Unis Attends Verona BOE Meeting January 28
Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 2:18PM Being an involved citizen of Verona is an important duty of a school board member. School Board Candidate, Michael Unis, attended the Verona Board of Education Meeting on January 28th at 8:00PM. He understands that in order to be an effective leader for the Verona School District, he must continually explore the issues facing the Verona Board of Education.
Unis prepared the following public statement.
Public participation in the Verona Board of Education meetings is essential to achieving our goals as a district, in particular our commitment to excellence.
A 360-degree assessment includes input from the citizens as well as students, teachers, and administration. Whether this be parents or just concerned individuals within the community, suggestions, concerns, and general comments are important. This enables new channels of communication directed towards community involvement with the Verona Board of Education.
I urge community members of Verona Township to consider attending the February 10th Board of Education meeting to be held at 8:00PM in the Verona High School library.
I will be in attendance and look forward to meeting with you and moving towards the future together.
