Experience Based Learning

Experience based learning is an opportunity to not only teach from the text book, but also to provide students the opportunity to apply the lessons in the classroom to real life scenarios.
What Is Experience Based Learning?
Students are actively involved in the learning process. For example, a teacher may take his or her class to the zoo to see, feel, and learn about the animals; as opposed to solely reading about animals in class.
How Does This Apply To The Verona Schools?
It is the duty of the Verona Board of Education to ensure that we are preparing our students with the opportunities to become productive learners for life. In order to assure that we are providing these opportunities, Unis proposes experience based projects with the Verona Schools that are rooted in service and are beneficial to a district committed to excellence.
- Google Applications: Education Edition brings a new level of collaboration to the classroom. As students discover new ways to work together they will learn the value of effective communication and planning to accomplish a goal.
- A new website brings with it the chance to integrate its development into the curriculum of already existing web design courses at the Verona Schools.
- A Student Board Member provides professional development for students and a challenging opportunity in the field of service.
