As today begins I consider embarking on an adventure to write about the remaining 80 days of this academic year and the endeavor of achieving and surpassing grade level mastery with my classroom. This may sound like a common place goal for any classroom, as yearly progress should be the minimum standard. However, the challenges of urban education do present hindrances and distractions to obtaining grade level mastery. Nonetheless, the challenges are no excuse and every child deserves access to an excellent education. So, with 80 days remaining and 12 units yet to cover I set out to inspire, invest, and empower the scholars of Room 4 toward their dreams.
